"The mountains are calling and I must go". Have you ever been somewhere magical and thought, this is where I belong? Way back on my first cross country skiing trip to the high mountains of the Alps, the seed was planted and I had that moment of feeling this is exactly how I want to live.
And so I followed my dream and in 2003 opened a little shop called Chalet.
The dream was about creating a warm and cosy place, with influences from the wooden houses with curling wood smoke rising from the chimneys perched high on the mountain's side. Somewhere to buy lovely things for you and your home with an emphasis on comfort, style and good design.
Over the years I have continued to travel to the Alps and Scandinavia seeking out not only beautiful destinations but also inspiring products. Here they manage to combine simple living and home comforts whilst taking influences from the great outdoors.
Now in 2020 we are currently living in unprecedented times and staying at home has taken on a whole new meaning. I hope our new website will confirm that being 'at home' will always remain a very special place to be.
